This edition of the Symposium will be held in a hybrid format: each session will feature presentations made by both on-site and online speakers.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR IN PERSON SPEAKERS
Speakers should contact the Chair 15 minutes prior to the start of the session in which their paper is to be presented. The Chair will be available in the conference room where the session is to take place. Speakers should be present at the conference table from the beginning of the session and remain for the entire duration. During the presentation, commercial advertising should be avoided. Mention of affiliations or company name should be very discreet.
A member of our staff is on hand in the Speakers’ Room for all requirements. Speakers who have not sent a copy of their PowerPoint presentation to the Organising Secretariat are kindly requested to contact the Speakers’ Room in a timely manner, at the latest within the session prior to the one in which their own presentation is scheduled.
In each conference room there will be a computer connected via Zoom with online speakers and attendees. Therefore, each speaker and Chair are kindly requested to deliver their talk in front of this computer to be seen by the virtual audience. Our staff member will be always available in the room for any technical assistance.
If your allotted time runs out, do not under any circumstances hurry to finish the entire presentation but go straight to the conclusions. To this regard, it may be useful to prepare a slide illustrating the conclusions in a summarised version.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHAIRS OF SESSIONS

On arrival at the venue, Chairs of oral sessions and workshops must contact the Speakers’ Room to collect the session materials: our staff will provide the curricula vitae of speakers, with the indication of in-person or virtual presentations, and inform of any last-minute changes in the programme.
Fifteen minutes prior to the start of the sessions, Chairs should report to the conference room where the session will take place, to meet the speakers.
Chairs are kindly requested to ensure that all speakers remain seated at the table throughout the entire session and that the timetable is strictly adhered to. This aspect is of extreme importance in order to allow delegates to schedule their attendance in the parallel sessions.
In each conference room there will be a computer connected via Zoom with online attendees. Therefore, each speaker and Chair are kindly requested to deliver their talk in front of this computer to be seen by the virtual audience.
Chairs are furthermore requested to check the chat of the Zoom meeting in case some questions arise from the attendees.
Our staff member will be always available in the room for any technical assistance.
