Travel and accommodation

All delegates and authors are expected to make their own travel and hotel arrangements. Reservations for accommodation in Forte Village Resort should be mailed directly to our Official Travel Agency, F.A. Travel Srl by filling in the following reservation form.

Transport

Cagliari is linked to the main Italian cities by daily flights. The airport of Elmas (Cagliari) is located about 40 km from the Forte Village Resort and 7 km from Cagliari city centre. Participants are advised to fly to Cagliari airport, even though Cagliari can be reached by Ferry-Boat (Civitavecchia-Rome, Genova, Palermo, Napoli).

A special transfer service from Elmas airport to Forte Village Resort will be available on Saturday October 3rd (afternoon), Sunday October 4th and Monday October 5th (morning), and from Forte Village to Elmas airport on Friday October 9th (afternoon) and Saturday October 10th. Specific departure times will be scheduled at a later date.

On Sunday October 11th a bus transfer service will be arranged in the early morning and in the afternoon.

Individual transfers during the symposium week will be provided at the following rates:

Accommodation

A block booking with special rates has been made at Forte Village Resort, La Pineta, Il Borgo, Hotel Castello, Le Dune and Villa del Parco to accommodate all participants.

Prices on a halfboard basis are as follows:

Single rooms are double rooms with a single occupant.

All prices quoted are per person per day. On a halfboard basis, meals included are breakfast and evening dinner (water and table wine included).

Requests for reservation should be sent with a deposit per person calculated on total accomodation cost as follows:

  • € 300,00 per person for a stay of 5 nights or more;
  • 75% per person for a stay of 4 nights or less.

Deposits should be sent to F.A. Travel S.r.l. by bank transfer or credit card payment (Visa, Mastercard or American Express). For further details, please see the enclosed Reservation Form (download from top of page) or contact F.A. Travel.

We regret that it will not be possible to modify the type of accomodation once booking has been confirmed.

Bookings received after the deadline of 31st August 2009 cannot be guaranteed. No refund will be possible for advance departure respect to number of nights paid.

Reductions

Reduction for children (only if sharing with 2 adults):

  • children 0-12 years, free;
  • third bed, 50%.

Hotel Cancellation

Please inform F.A.Travel of any change or cancellation of hotel reservation. Deposits will be refunded only if written notification of cancellation is received before 31st August 2009.

Sports

Hotel costs include the use of sports equipment (basketball, volleyball, swimming pools, disco dancing). They do not include costs of bicycle hire, water sports, soccer, tennis and golf. Entrance to the Terme del Parco costs 65,00 € for a full day and includes entrance to the thermal complex, use of thalassotherapy baths, sauna, turkish bath and fitness centre.
