Sardinia 2009 will be held in the Forte Village Resort, situated near S. Margherita di Pula, on a long sandy bay on the southern coast of Sardinia. All delegates and authors are expected to make their own travel arrangements although a well-organized Travel Office will be available at the Hotel Complex. The Hotel Complex

The Forte Village Resort is located about 40 Km from Cagliari, the capital of the island, and 8 km from S. Margherita di Pula. It is set in a natural park of 25 ha, of which at least half is given over to gardens and pine woods.

The Forte Village Resort (which includes Hotel Castello, Hotel Pineta, Hotel il Villaggio, Hotel il Borgo, Hotel le Palme, Hotel Dune, and Hotel Villa del Parco) comprises approx 600 cottages. Each cottage consists of a twin bedroom, private bathroom with shower, direct dial telephone and TV, air conditioning and private patio.

The Hotel Castello, Hotel Pineta and Hotel Villa del Parco are set in a secluded part of the Village grounds, surrounded by tall pine trees. Hotel Le Dune includes 34 extra luxury cottages near the sea.

Sport & Entertainment

For recreation there is a superb stretch of private beach, eleven floodlit tennis courts, five swimming pools, a sauna and gymnasium, horse riding, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, mini golf, trampolines and much more. From the beach the Water Sports Centre offers windsurfing, sailing, scuba diving, water-skiing, rowing boats, catamaran and paragliding. Disco dancing until the small hours in the modern Forte Resort Discotheque.

The "Terme del Parco" Health Centre

We heartily recommend a visit to the marvellous "Terme del Parco" health centre. Here you can relax in a secluded oasis dotted with heated swimming pools with artificial waterfalls, hydro massage and wave-makers. Moreover you may work-out in a fully-equipped gym or regain top form in a sauna, turkish bath or in the beauty centre and massage rooms.

Guest Card

All the Hotel guests, at the arrival at the Forte Village, at the moment of registration, will receive the Forte Village Guest Card, similar to a credit card, that will be requested by hotel staff on access to restaurants, bar etc.. Clients will not be admitted to restaurants without this card.

Credits Cards and Cheques

The following credit cards are accepted: Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, Carte Blanche and Visa. Travellers Cheques can be cashed by the Front Desk Cashier or at the Hotel Castello Desk; personal cheques are not accepted.
