Oral presentation
Speakers should contact the Chairman 15 minutes before the beginning of the session in which their paper is to be presented. The Chairman will be available in the Conference Hall where the session will take place.
Speakers should be present at the Conference Table from the beginning of the session and remain for the entire duration.
During General Sessions (A and B) 20 minutes will be allowed to present each paper; discussion will be scheduled at the end of each session. The only language spoken during the session should be English.
Presentations in Specialized Sessions should last 15 minutes and they will present papers dealing with more detailed aspects with regards to the topics presented in the General Sessions. The working language will be English.
Workshop presentations (10 minutes) deal with some of the most specific and controversial aspects and they will form the basis for a deep discussion among participants. Attendance to these workshops will be limited and English will be the only language used.
For the presentation Speakers can dispose of a PowerPoint projector.
The duty member in the Speakers' Room in on hand for all requirements. A laptop is available to Speakers and the priority for use will be given in accordance to the sessions timetable. The computer in the Speakers' Room can not be used to prepare the presentation, but only with the purpose of doing little changes or for a final check.
If Speakers didn't sent their PowerPoint presentation to the Organizing Secretariat, they are kindly requested to contact the Speakers' Room within the session before the one in which their own communication is scheduled (should their communication be scheduled in the morning sessions, the deadline for contacting the Speakers' Room is the evening of the day before). In case the PowerPoint presentation does not reach the organization in advance as requested or if technical problems arise during the presentation, no additional time will be given for the lecture.
If the time allowed for the communication expires, do not under any circumstances accelerate in order to finish the entire presentation but pass directly to the conclusions. To this regard, it might be useful preparing a slide which illustrates the conclusions in a synthesized version.
During the presentation please avoid any companies advertising.
Presence of your affiliation body or company should be very discreet.
Poster presentation
Posters should be mounted by authors during the afternoon of Sunday 4th October, or on Monday 5th October and removed on the afternoon of Friday, 9th October.
A maximum space of 110 cm x 110 cm is available for each poster on a laminate board. Posters should be prepared using heavy-duty resistant paper or cardboard. Please ensure that you are equipped with all necessary fixing materials (like scissors and tape). Drawing pins must not be used.
Posters should be written using large letters as they should be legible from a distance of at least one meter.
Under no circumstances may posters contain any kind of advertising or commercial propaganda.
All posters will be placed in the anti-foyer of the main Congress Hall. Each author should check on the outside map the exact position assigned to his poster.
