19th INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON WASTE MANAGEMENT,
RESOURCE RECOVERY AND SUSTAINABLE LANDFILLING / 9-13 OCTOBER 2023

Oral and poster instructions

ORAL PRESENTATIONS
All authors presenting their work in an oral session or workshop are required to send a PowerPoint presentation to the Organising Secretariat at info@sardiniasymposium.it no later than 2nd October 2023.
Each presentation should last no more than 10 minutes.
During the presentation, company advertising should be avoided. Presence of authors’ affiliations or company logos should be very discreet.
On site, speakers should contact the Session Chair 15 minutes before the beginning of their session. The Chair will be available in the conference hall where the session is to take place. Speakers should be present at the conference table from the beginning of the session and remain for the entire duration. If your allotted time runs out during your presentation, do not under any circumstances hurry to finish the entire presentation but go straight to the conclusions. To this regard, it may be of use to prepare a slide illustrating the conclusions in a summarised version.
A member of our staff will be available in the Speakers' Room for any last-minute check, changes and all requirements.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS
The Organizing Secretariat is prepared to print, at no extra cost to the authors, the hard copy of all posters listed in the conference programme. This service is offered to facilitate authors during their journey to reach the Symposium venue and, at the same time, to allow the Organizers to complete setting up the poster hall before the conference begins.
To this regard, we kindly ask authors to send the PDF file of their poster at info@sardiniasymposium.it no later than 15th September 2023.
Posters size must be A0 portrait oriented (width: 841 mm, height: 1189 mm) and written using large letters as they should be easily readable from a distance of at least 1m. Under no circumstances may posters contain any kind of advertising or commercial propaganda.

Posters will be continuously accessible in a dedicated hall and discussed in the presence of authors on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon from 16:30 to 17:00.
We recommend authors to be present at their posters during the time slots indicated to give delegates the opportunity for questions and discussion.
