Late Abstracts

Thank you for considering submission of an abstract for presentation at the Sardinia 2017 Symposium.

The deadline for abstract submission officially expired on March 1st 2017. Should you wish to submit a late abstract, please use the online form: all efforts will be made to evaluate your proposal for potential inclusion in the Symposium programme.

Abstracts (at least one but no more than two full pages) should prepared using the abstract template and submitted as a PDF file attachment.

Abstracts must clearly describe the content of presentations and their basis (detailed case study, discussion of experience from practice, preliminary research data, completed research not presented previously, review of literature, administrative initiatives and regulations, etc) and may be submitted for oral or poster presentation; offers of papers for workshops are also welcome.

Please note that the Organising Secretariat will confirm receipt of all abstracts. Authors not receiving an e-mail notifying receipt of their abstract should check with the Secretariat to ensure their abstract has been effectively received.

The official language of the Symposium will be English and all papers must therefore be written and presented in English.
In addition, the Symposium will arrange a session to be held entirely in Italian, in order to facilitate the participation of local delegates. Italian authors may freely submit papers for inclusion in both English and Italian sessions (in English and Italian, respectively).

Abstracts submitted for presentation will undergo a thorough selection process carried out by world leading waste management experts, represented by the Symposium International Advisory Board and Executive Programme Committee.

Full papers should be addressed to the Organizers and received no later than 20th May 2015. Final papers should be prepared in accordance with the Instructions for Authors provided and their quality and contents should conform with the abstract originally submitted. Papers not complying with the conditions above will be removed from the Symposium programme. Authors presenting their work in an oral session or workshop will also be requested to submit their PowerPoint presentations no later than 18th September 2015.

All final papers accepted to Sardinia 2015 will be published on a dedicated set of Proceedings.
Additionally, a considerable number of leading papers selected by the Symposium Scientific Committee will be processed, eventually following revision and updating, for publication on special thematic issues of Waste Management, the scientific journal with the highest IF (2.428) in the field, published by Elsevier.
Other accepted papers, featuring a more practical orientation, will be considered for publication on IWWG Monographs on selected conference topics (CISA Publisher, ISBN classification).
Authors may indicate their preferred publication pathway when submitting their final papers.
Authors of selected papers will be invited to individually submit their paper through the EES website, to be accompanied by a cover letter with a clear reference to the Sardinia 2015 Symposium.
